Ink being injected into the artery of a 72-hour-old chick embryo to display the vascular system, at 10x magnification. Shot by Oxford-based pathologist Anna Franz. “This movie not only demonstrates the power of the heart and the complexity of vasculature of the chick embryo, but also reflects the beauty of nature’s design,” Franz said. This video won first place in this year’s Nikon Small World Video Competition.
